The regional government and Avintia Inmobiliaria have begun construction of 124 homes in Toledo. The development, designed under the Build to Rent (BTR) model and built using Avintia’s cutting-edge Ávita system of industrialised construction, will be located near the industrial estate in the capital of Castilla-La Mancha.
The new development, representing an investment of €12.7 million, will help address the region’s housing needs through the BTR model and residential projects designed from the outset for rental. The homes, designed by TDB Arquitectura, will provide a total floor area of 12,526.46 m2, of which 8,935.26 m² is usable. Construction will be carried out using the Ávita system of industrialised building, which shortens construction and delivery times by 30%.
The Ávita method also delivers significant environmental benefits: it cuts on-site waste by up to 75%, water consumption by 20%, the use of raw materials and concrete by up to 50%, noise pollution by 50%, and CO₂ emissions by 40%.. As a result, the development will obtain the BREEAM “Good” Sustainable Building Certification, demonstrating the project’s high levels of efficiency and sustainability.
“This type of project reflects Avintia Inmobiliaria’s commitment to an affordable residential development model that meets market needs, with innovation and sustainability at the core of our strategy,” said Roberto Campos, Managing Director of Avintia Inmobiliaria. “For us, each project is an opportunity to demonstrate that it is possible to build responsibly, efficiently and with respect for the environment.”
This new development is part of the Plan 10,000, launched by the Government of Castile-La Mancha under Emiliano García-Page in collaboration with the private sector. Its main objective is to build homes for both sale and rental, thereby expanding the region’s housing market through public-private partnership mechanisms. The plan focuses particularly on areas where demand is highest, such as provincial capitals and the Henares and La Sagra corridors.
One year after the launch of Plan 10,000, the regional government has already initiated 40% of its projects. Part of the Plan is financed through Next Generation EU funds. In this regard, the Government of Castile-La Mancha has exceeded 100% execution of European funds in the initial housing calls.
This award strengthens Avintia Inmobiliaria’s position as a leading developer of affordable Build to Rent (BTR) projects, with innovation, sustainability and excellence as their common hallmarks.
